Position Summary:
Executes configuration (change) management functions, focusing on environments management, using BMC Remedy and other tools to track and manage changes to test and production systems and infrastructure. Serves as integral member of enterprise-wide Quality team, is responsible for following established standards and best practices, and reporting metrics to management clearly and accurately. Works closely with IT teams to understand, approve and manage introduction and tracking of changes to integrated test environments, ensuring changes are appropriately documented and propagated through test environments to keep them in sync and resolve issues. Responsible for controlling software, systems, infrastructure, configuration and documentation being deployed into test environment, using Visual Source Safe (VSS), CVS or similar tool, and promoting code from development to integrated testing environment. Administrator for version control and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) tools, supports process integration within QA and other corporate processes, and provides assistance to IT personnel and business partners in the use of processes, templates and tools. Manages change queue and performs triage (initial review) of code and configuration changes and assists in identifying and communicating change impact on projects and activities. Participates in SAS70 reviews and audits. Maintains confidentiality and adheres to regulatory compliance issues as they exist and change. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Health Care/Business Administration, Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education/business experience required.
  • 1+ year's configuration/change managment work experience including infrastructure knowledge. Direct exp. with development and SDLC standards, version control system and technical documentation.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, as well as adapt quickly to changes in priority with excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. 3-5 years relevant technical work experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of technical users. ITIL or change / configuration management Certification a plus.
  • Working knolwedge of development, change and release concepts and best practices.
  • Remedy, CMDB, Macess, Facets and Lawson exp. a plus.
