Position Summary:
Delivers quality functionality within specified timeframes; using the HP/Mercury suite of tools support testing on projects. Participates in requirements and design reviews, develops and executes manual and automated test plans and test cases to ensure the quality of MVPs core applications and systems. Documents defects and works with developers, business users and project team to resolve issues. Serves as an integral member of an enterprise-wide testing team, and is responsible for following established standards and best practices, and reporting testing results clearly and accurately. Candidate will provide assistance to IT personnel and business partners in the use of templates and tools. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/business experience required in Health Care/Business Administration, Software Quality Assurance, Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years test analyst experience in an IT organization. Experienced in testing business system updates and changes and working multiple projects simultaneously. Good understanding of standard formal testing methodologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Dedication to meeting deadlines and ensuring quality delivery. Experienced in testing large business system updates and changes and working multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: (e.g., partnering, conflict management, mentoring) with strong verbal and written communication skills. Macess, Facets, maxMC or Lawson experience a plus.
  • Able to successfully adapt and apply industry best practices/concepts while addressing constraints of organizational, political and technical hurdles.
  • Must be comfortable working in a team environment as well as independently, and possess a sense of accountability and urgency in completing assignments. Understanding of health care business/delivery process preferred. Knowledge of SQL desired.
