Position Summary:
Responsible for database programming to extract, transform, clean, and move data/metadata that can be loaded into data warehouse, data mart, or operational data store. Works with moderate direction as member of development team. Assignments include extracting data, transforming data and populating warehouse data stores. Must be competent in most phases of Systems Development Life Cycle. Creates and/or adapts ETL processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements. Works with business requirements/analyst to identify and understand source data systems. Maps source system data to data warehouse models. Develops and tests extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes to include preparation of test data necessary to assure expected results as defined by specifications. Defines and captures metadata and rules associated with ETL processes Ensures tasks are completed by target dates and within cost estimates. Assists in preparation of project plans to include estimating, scheduling and manpower loading. Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Five years programming and/or data analysis experience with structured System Development Life Cycle. Experience as business analyst and programmer, working closely with customers to develop reporting solutions to meet their needs.
  • Understanding of source and target data structures, ETL processes, and products within data warehouse environment. ETL and 3GL/4GL programming languages. A customer focus and demonstrated experience working with business users to meet requirements.
  • Must be comfortable working in team environment as well as independently, and possess a sense of accountability and urgency in completing assignments. Strong problem-solving, metadata management skills and ability to function in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and technical reporting skills. May require travel to other MVP sites. Informatica/Sagent/DTS , Oracle PL/SQL and Sybase/Microsoft Transact-SQL experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of TriZettos Facets, AMISYS 3000, Lawson, Landacorps maxMC, and MACESS applications within a healthcare environment a plus.
