Position Summary:
The Supervisor Infrastructure Builds and DB VMware Support will maintain and support MVPs VMware infrastructure and Intel based Data Base servers in addition to being responsible for the initial builds and new server deployments. Will oversee assigned Data Center Infrastructure hardware, software, performance and maintenance within assigned group; assist in the review and selection of new technologies with the IT Architecture and Strategy group. Develop, implement and maintain department specific policies and procedures for server builds, VMware best practices and implementation and performance monitoring. Will work with and assists team members in the Infrastructure & Technical Services group as well as other areas of IT in the execution of tasks in order to meet corporate objectives and project time lines. Supervise staff including selection, orientation, training, performance management, counseling, and corrective action as needed. Handle policy and employee issues in conjunction with Human Resources. Ensure that the infrastructure supports company and IT requirements through routine maintenance and the identification and escalation of risk. Coordinate Infrastructure plans and efforts with IT extended management team. Direct, motivate, delegate and empower staff in the successful performance of their tasks and responsibilities while encouraging innovation. Coordinate Infrastructure plans and efforts with IT extended management team. Works with the management team to define and maintain system availability. Hands on system administration and 7x24 staff support are required. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience required in field of Computer Science, Information Management, science/mathematics, Health Care Administration or related field.
• Three years experience/advanced proficiency in Windows-based server operating systems, concepts, server hardware installation, diagnostics, SAN storage and associated technologies.
• Hands-on knowledge of Windows 2000/2003, Server, Advanced Server required, knowledge of clustering services within Advanced server, MS application server and IBMs Websphere required. In-depth experience installing, configuring and supporting VMware.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Understands health care business and health care delivery process. Strong customer service orientation.Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Keen attention to detail.
• Available to work additional hours as needed. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory compliance issues. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
