Position Summary:
Delivers quality functionality within specified timeframes; using the Mercury suite of tools (TestDirector/Quality Center, QuickTest Professional and LoadRunner) to support testing on projects. Participates in requirements gathering/reviews, and designs, develops and executes manual and automated test plans to ensure the quality of MVP's core applications and systems. Documents defects and works with developers, business users and project team to resolve issues. Serves as an integral member of an enterprise-wide testing team, and is responsible for following established standards and best practices, and reporting testing results clearly and accurately. Candidate will provide assistance to IT personnel and business partners in the use of templates and tools, and lead testing on projects as needed. Must be comfortable working in team environment as well as independently, and possess sense of accountability and urgency in completing assignments. Ability to successfully adapt and apply industry best practices/concepts while addressing constraints of organizational, political and technical hurdles. Understanding of health care business/delivery process. Preferred Skills: Macess, Facets, and Lawson experience a plus. Project Management experience, formal best practice (i.e. ITIL, CMMi, etc.) experience, or software testing certification a plus. Knowledge of SQL desired. Performs other duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/business experience required in Health Care/Business Administration, Software Quality Assurance, Computer Science or related field.
Minimum Experience:
5 years test analyst experience in IT organization.
2 years leading test efforts on small and medium scale projects and coordinating test resources.
Required Skills:
" Excellent understanding of standard formal testing methodologies. " Working knowledge of automated testing (Mercury Interactive/similar toolset).
" Experienced in testing large business system updates and changes and working multiple projects simultaneously.
" Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
" Highly self-motivated and directed, with exceptional customer service orientation and a dedication to meeting deadlines and ensuring quality delivery.
" Excellent interpersonal skills: (e.g., partnering, conflict management, mentoring), with strong verbal and written communication skills.
