Position Summary:
Serves as Corporate PR provider advocate, with a particular emphasis on provider data and coordinates/assists with a variety of projects, primarily focused on or involving provider data. Serves as provider data liaison with departments such as IT, Operations, Utilization Management, Quality Improvement, Corporate Communications, Sales & Marketing and e-Business. Assists in managing business partner relationships to ensure day-to-day needs are met. Represents Corp PR with various professional organizations, specifically capitalizing on new lines of business. Facilitates and attends meetings, serves on various committees and coordinates initiatives integral to the growth of the department. Assists in the strategic planning and management of the future direction of provider data. Manages and coordinates all aspects of provider audit activities. Trains Corporate PR team and Regional PR offices on new products, contracts, and systems as needed. . Evaluates and coordinates the updates of the P Provider Contracts and Amendments as needed. Facilitates and resolves operational issues in the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of new/existing agreements. Serves as the provider contract owner and identifies and facilitates enhancements of same. Works directly with the IT department on provider data updates and application functionality updates/changes. Performs network analysis and associated reporting. Responds to provider-based RFP/RFI inquiries. Ensures maintenance of contracts and correspondence files. Serves as the primary business facilitator of the Fee Exception Committee (FEC), in coordination with all MVP regions and the BSC department. Ensures compliance with MVP contracting guidelines including baseline assessment process for risk arrangements/delegations, reimbursement standards, PADU exception process and use of model contract language. Performs occasional travel throughout MVP Service Area with some overnight stays. Performs other projects/duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education: BA/BS in business, health care administration or related field. MS preferred.
Minimum Experience: Health care contracting experience and health care fee schedules/methodologies knowledge required. Prior Network Development or Professional Relations experience preferred.
Required Skills:
" Strong presentation, written and public speaking skills necessary. Team player able to lead large group meetings, develop and execute presentations. Excellent leadership and training skills.
" Demonstrated ability to write technical/educational materials. Detail-oriented worker with excellent organizational skills, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
" Strong Project Management experience. Strong financial background, ability to analyze financial data required. Ability to travel as needed required. Flexibility needed for evening or early morning appointments/ meetings.
" Strong computer knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Access, and Word) required.
" Experience with Facets claims payment systems/Cactus credentialing system.
