If you believe you have an emergency medical condition, seek help immediately at the
nearest hospital or health care facility. You do not need your
Primary Care Physician or MVP to approve emergency care.
MVP Health Care members are covered for medically-necessary emergency care anywhere in
the world - 24 hours a day. If an emergency occurs outside the MVP service area, go to
the nearest hospital or health care facility.
You should notify MVP within 48 hours of any emergency incident, or as soon as
possible. You may notify MVP of ER visits online or
call us at 1-888-MVP-MBRS (1-888-687-6277). (MVP reserves the right to retrospectively determine if the visit is of an emergency nature.)
If you have a PCP, you should notify them as soon as possible so they can coordinate your
follow-up care.
For your convenience, you may do an online hospital search for nearby hospitals
that are part of MVP's network.
All routine, preventive, elective or non-emergency care must be provided by or arranged
through your Primary Care Physician and obtained within the MVP service area.
