How long will it take to receive my prescription?
We recommend that you order new prescriptions two to three weeks before you will need your medications to save on rush delivery charges and avoid possible problems if your shipment is delayed. Refills are generally filled and received in less than two weeks. Click here for common reasons why your mail order shipment may be delayed.

You can track the status of your mail order by visiting www.medco.com and clicking “Order Status.” You can find out when your prescription was received, the status of your order, the date that your order was mailed or is expected to be mailed, as well as other information. The date that your prescription is expected to be mailed may change, so you should track the order periodically until the prescription has been mailed.

How much medication can I order?
You can order up to a 90-day supply of maintenance medications. Prescriptions for less than a 90-day supply can be ordered through mail order but you may not save money on your co-payments.  It is important to note that many MVP pharmacy benefits have a 90-day copay at mail.  This means that you will be charged for a 90-day supply even if your prescription is filled for less, so you should always have your doctor write mail order prescriptions for a 90-day supply to get the most out of your benefit.

Will I have to pay a co-payment for my drugs?
Yes. Co-payments apply to mail order purchases, but are usually reduced when compared to the same amount of medication obtained elsewhere. Follow the payment instructions on the  How to Order Your Prescriptions by Mail page. For more information on your specific mail order co-payments, check your prescription drug rider and/or benefit documents.

What if I have percentage (ex. 50%) drug coverage?
With 50-percent drug coverage, you would pay 50 percent of the discounted mail order price for each medication purchased–saving you money.
