Provider Health Care Reform

Health Care Reform Act - Preventive Services
As of October 1, 2010, MVP Health Care does not require copays, deductibles or coinsurance for the preventive services designated by the ACA when these services are the primary reason for a visit. This applies to MVP fully-insured plans and may not apply to ASO (self-funded) plans.

Providers should still bill MVP for these services as appropriate; however, no copay/coinsurance/cost share should be taken at the time of service. Claims will still be subject to clinical edits and bundling.
