Falling is a common reason that adults over 60 experience diminished quality of life but research shows that there are effective strategies we can put in place to reduce our chance of falling, and of injury in the event we do fall. In observance of National Fall Prevention Awareness Week join Falls Prevention Consultant, Ayden Jones, for a session to pick up tools and tips that will help you preserve balance, maintain independence and increase personal safety.

Objectives:

  1. Understand that Falls are common, but steps can be taken to reduce risk and occurrence of injury
  2. Share best practice on reducing individual risk factors and building self-efficacy
  3. Provide a space to discuss fear around falling, a known risk factor to having a fall
