In this presentation, we will discuss what cancer is, the impact of cervical cancer in NYS, and how the advent of the Pap smear and the HPV vaccine has led to the significant decrease in deaths from cervical cancer in the last 40 years. We will discuss screening options for cervical cancer and talk about what influences your individual risk for cervical cancer and actions you can take to decrease your risk.
