Join us as we walk the Woodlot to uncover the sap to syrup mystery. Science and history guide our understanding as we turn a brace, tap a spile, and taste sap fresh from the tree. In the Sugar Shack, we will view the evaporation process and sample the final product—maple syrup. Dress in layers, wear comfortable, durable shoes, and bring a bottle of water, sunscreen, hat, or insect repellent, as needed. No pets are allowed. Programs will take place rain or shine but will be stopped in the event of thunder and lightning. There is no cost for this program. Registration is required.
