During this 2-hour educational walk through the woods, we will learn how to identify the fungi and will talk about the characteristics of fungi we find. Participants will learn about the edible or medical value mushrooms have, historic uses of fungi, and the story they tell about the forest. Led by John Michelotti, founder of Catskill Fungi. Participants must wear sturdy shoes/boots and be prepared to walk on uneven terrain.

Intensity level: Moderate; hiking on uneven terrain with hills
