Let’s head out on snowshoes on a guided tour of Five Rivers nature paths. You’ll learn basic snowshoe usage, and then test out your new skills on the trail. Many animals remain active during winter leaving signs of their activities imprinted in the snow. Observe these signs and piece together what the animals were doing. If there is not sufficient snow (6+ inches on our trail), we’ll substitute in a winter hike so be prepared to head out on foot with snow boots. Bring your own snowshoes or rent a pair for $5.

Intensity Level: Moderate; Walking on terrain in winter weather conditions. Must be steady on your feet.
