COVID-19 Financial Hardship
MVP Health Care® (MVP) is committed to making sure you have the health insurance coverage you need during the COVID-19 State of Emergency. While you are no longer able to defer premium payments, if you have experienced financial hardship please call the MVP Customer Care Center at the phone number listed on the back of your MVP Member ID card to discuss your options.
Per emergency regulations issued by the New York State Department of Financial Services, an attestation of financial hardship is required of New York State Individual contract holders and Small Group policyholders who wish to delay premium payment. You are an Individual contract holder if you are not enrolled in an employer-sponsored plan.
Groups and members who attest to a financial hardship will receive an extended grace period for payment of their premiums until June 1, or until the contractual grace period, whichever is later. Please note, MVP will continue to send monthly invoices. The payment due date on the invoice may not reflect the premium deferment.
If you have questions, please call the phone number listed on the back of your MVP Member ID Card. Groups should contact their broker or MVP Account Representative for more information.
