New York State Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC) - 2014

MVP Health Care’s Part D coverage and EPIC coverage work together.  You must show both ID cards to the pharmacy to ensure that the lowest copayment is applied to your prescription.

  • All seniors must be enrolled in a Medicare Part D plan to remain enrolled in New York State EPIC. 
  • Members must meet income guidelines to qualify for EPIC. Plans may include fees or deductibles.
  • EPIC will pay as a secondary payer for prescriptions that are first covered by Medicare Part D.  EPIC will also cover drugs that are Medicare Part D excluded.
  • Part D premium assistance may also be available.
