ROCHESTER, NY, March 29, 2016―Calling all young artists! The Corn Hill Neighbors Association announces the return of its annual Emerging Artists Expo (EAE) sponsored by MVP Health Care. The expo, now in its eighth year, showcases rising artistic talents by giving them the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work at the 48th annual Corn Hill Arts Festival and is now accepting applications.
In an ongoing effort to cultivate and assist local Rochester talents, the EAE gives young artists a chance to participate in a professional juried art show. The event will be held on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10 in conjunction with the 2016 Corn Hill Arts Festival.
The EAE showcases 25 first-time exhibitors ages 15 to 25. The art on exhibition can be of any medium, as long as it is original to the artist. Fine art paintings, jewelry, pottery, textiles, etc. are all acceptable for submission.
“Being a new artist, the Corn Hill Arts Festival gave me a chance to showcase my handmade creations,” said Nicole Antonini, 2015 EAE participant and jewelry designer. “The festival gives young artists the platform to expose their creations to an entirely new market, and what could be better than that?”
Each participant is carefully selected by a committee and will receive an exhibit booth and support during the expo. Applications are now open for this year’s exposition and be found here: http://cornhillartsfestival.com/emergingartists/.The deadline for submission is May 31.
MVP Health Care is sponsoring the event again this year. “Rochester is filled with passionate young artists whose talents and creativity can serve as an inspiration to the greater community. MVP Health Care is pleased to sponsor the expo and continue to help cultivate opportunities to celebrate emerging artists,” said Mollie Rooney, MVP director of marketing and communications.
