SCHENECTADY, NY, November 28, 2017 — MVP Health Care scored higher than the statewide average on all questions used to assess managed care performance in the most recently released New York State report on Medicaid Managed Care plans, the only plan in the state to do so.

Each year, New York State sponsors a survey of Medicaid Managed Care members to assess the performance of health care providers on a variety of measures, as well as the managed care companies through which consumers get coverage. The survey includes questions on member satisfaction with getting the care they need, getting care quickly, customer service, and the overall rating of health plans.  MVP Health Care is the only plan in New York State to score statistically better than the statewide average for all four managed care categories.

New York State looks at member satisfaction surveys annually to assess the quality of health care provided to either adult members or children.  This most recent report addressed adult satisfaction with plans and providers.

“Member satisfaction is very important to all of us at MVP Health Care,” said Cathy Clancy, executive vice president, Medicaid and MVP Operations. “At a time when many people are confused and concerned about their health care coverage, it is reassuring to know our members are pleased with the level of care and quality of service they are receiving.  We’re committed to continue providing our members and our community with exemplary services.”
