Open Enrollment Begins November 1st for New Consumers, November 16th for Returning Consumers

Fishkill, NY, October 29, 2019 — MVP Health Care (MVP) today announced the opening and ribbon cutting of the first and only 
walk-in health care Enrollment Center in Fishkill, New York. At the MVP Health Care Walk-in Enrollment Center, staff will assist consumers who are shopping for health care coverage, have questions about existing plans or are looking to enroll through the New York State of Health marketplace. The open enrollment period for coverage in 2020, starts November 1st for new consumers and November 16th for returning consumers. The annual enrollment period for 2020 Medicare coverage is currently underway until December 7, 2019.

According to data recently released from the U.S. Census Bureau, New York was one of only three states nationwide to see a decrease in its uninsured population in 2018. By opening this new location, MVP is providing unprecedented access 
and information about coverage options to the Fishkill community in order to provide health insurance to everyone who needs it. As the only in-person Enrollment Center in the area, interacting with MVP and signing up for health insurance is easier, more convenient, and more personal than ever.
As a part of its consumer focused approach to provide health insurance to those who need it, MVP staff at the Enrollment Center can help individuals and families decide what insurance coverage best fits their needs—including MVP’s options from the New York State of Health Marketplace, Medicaid, Child Health Plus, and Medicare insurance plans.
MVP has dedicated space in each of its offices—Newburgh, Rochester, Schenectady, Monticello, New Rochelle, and Tarrytown, New York and in Burlington, Vermont –for members and those shopping for insurance to talk with MVP professionals and ask questions about their plans. Additionally, working in partnership with community-based organizations throughout New York State, MVP also has also nearly 130 locations within the community that provide people with a variety of convenient ways to access MVP plans.
The MVP Enrollment Center will also offer free information seminars about Medicare as well as personal consultations with our MVP Medicare Advisors, health and wellness activities throughout the year, and much more.
The new MVP Health Care Walk-in Enrollment Center at Fishkill will be open Monday through Friday, beginning November 1st, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The Enrollment Center is located at 300 Westage Business Center Drive, First Floor, Fishkill, NY 12524.
