Registration Now Open for the 2019 MVP Health Care Stockade-athon Road Race

Schenectady, N.Y. – (June 14, 2019) – MVP Health Care and the Hudson Mohawk Road Runners Club today announced that registration is now open for the 2019 MVP Health Care Stockade-athon. The race, which will be held on November 10, 2019 in Schenectady, is one of the oldest major 15k (9.3 miles) races in the country.
“MVP Health Care is so proud to once again sponsor the 2019 Stockade-athon which brings racers of all ages and abilities to Schenectady,” said MVP’s President, Christopher Del Vecchio. “This race highlights and personifies MVP’s commitment to building healthy communities and we are looking forward to a fun and exciting day.”
The 2019 MVP Health Care Stockade-athon will begin at 8:30 AM outside MVP’s offices located at 625 State Street in Schenectady. There will be a total of $7,875 in prize money available for open, local, and team runners in 15 different age groups. The first 1,500 registrants will also receive a free long sleeve t-shirt.
“The Stockade-athon is one of HMRRC’s premiere events,” said race co-director, Brian Northam. “It’s a popular end-of-season goal race for runners of all levels. HMRRC is looking forward to welcoming runners from all over the Northeast to Schenectady in November.”
A half mile kid’s race will also take place at City Hall on Jay Street. Following their run, racers can enjoy hot and cold refreshments at the YMCA in Schenectady.
