MVP, Cigna, and Other Network Coverage

Through a national partnership between MVP and Cigna HealthCare, Cigna members can use the MVP Upstate New York Participating Provider Network for medical services. Similarly, MVP EPO and PPO members with nationwide coverage may access Cigna’s national network for care. MVP members who have New York HMO and POS plans rely on Cigna’s national network for covered urgent and emergency care, as well as for elective out-of-area care when it has been pre-authorized.
