Dental Benefits Included With All 2024 Plans
Most Medicare Advantage plans include preventive and comprehensive dental benefits to meet your needs.
Plans offer a benefit amount to use however you choose toward covered dental services—from routine cleanings and x-rays to fillings and crowns—with no deductibles. Each service is covered up to a maximum allowable amount.
To make your coverage go farther, MVP partners with LIBERTY Dental Plan to provide access to an extensive network of dentists and specialists, locally and nationwide.

You will receive a Dental ID card from LIBERTY—show this card any time you visit the dentist. Make sure your dentist is still in the network each time you have a visit.
See a Dentist Anywhere
As part of the MVP Medicare Advantage plan dental benefits, you may see a dentist that participates with the LIBERTY Dental Plan anywhere in the country. Your dental plan also gives you access to the national Guardian PPO network. If you see a Guardian dentist, be sure to show them the logo on the front of your Dental ID card that includes reference to the DentalGuard® Preferred Select Network. This will indicate you have access to the Guardian network through your LIBERTY Dental Plan. Dentists can also call the number on the back of your Dental ID card to confirm eligibility. Covered services performed by LIBERTY and Guardian dentists are covered at no additional cost to you, up to your allowable amount.
You have the flexibility to go to any dentist for covered services, but you may pay more for services provided by a dentist who is not part of the LIBERTY or Guardian PPO dental networks. Dentists also may ask for the full cost of services to be paid upfront. You can submit a claim for reimbursement for any charges up to the co-insurance amount covered by your plan.
Save Money with Participating Dentists
MVP pays for covered dental services based on a maximum allowable benefit for each service. LIBERTY and Guardian PPO dentists accept this amount as payment in full for covered services. If you see a dentist that does not participate with LIBERTY or Guardian PPO, you may be billed for additional costs. You are responsible for:
- 100% of all charges that exceed the maximum allowable benefit amount
- Any services provided after you meet your annual allowance
- Any dental services this benefit doesn’t cover

MVP Health Plan, Inc. is an HMO-POS/PPO/HMO D-SNP organization with a Medicare contract and a contract with the New York State Medicaid program. Enrollment in MVP Health Plan depends on contract renewal. MVP Health Plan, Inc. has been approved by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) to operate as a Special Needs Plan (SNP) until 12/31/2024 based on review of MVP Health Plan’s Model of Care. Other physicians/providers are available in the MVP Health Care network. Gia virtual care services are available at no member cost-share for medical plans, including qualified high-deductible health plans (QHDHPs). Exceptions may apply for self-funded plans. In-person visits and referrals are subject to cost-share per plan. Members enrolled in a Medicare Rx plan without additional MVP medical coverage do not have access to MVP virtual care services through Gia.
