Following the completion of the Erie Canal in 1825, Schenectady transformed from a quiet farming town into a growing hub of activity. But was this change a blessing, a burden, or a bit of both? Come explore the story and decide for yourself. Tour begins inside the Schenectady County Historical Museum.
