Sometimes asking for help can be the hardest thing to do. If you’re feeling down, think you may be suffering from anxiety, depression, or need help with managing alcohol or substance use, you have options for getting the care and support you may need.

Start with Gia®: 24/7 Care from Home or Anywhere

The Gia by MVP mobile app is available 24/7 and quickly connects you to a doctor via text, video, or phone call. Based on your symptoms, your Gia provider can diagnose and treat many health issues and will be able to recommend a treatment plan, prescribe a medication, or refer you to an in-person doctor, urgent care, or emergency room in your area, if needed. Through the Gia app, you can access:

Everyday Care

Galileo, our virtual primary care partner, includes behavioral health (BH) care services. The Galileo BH therapist team consists of Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC), and Psychologists (PsyD). For mild to moderate BH needs such as anxiety or depression, members can access the Galileo BH therapy program that includes condition assessments, recurring appointments (up to 12 sessions with your therapist), and/or prescribing non-controlled substances. Your therapist can also work with your Primary Care Provider (PCP) or Psychiatrist to determine if medication management support is needed.

Access Galileo through the Gia by MVP mobile app by selecting Virtual Care, then Start with Galileo. This is available to all MVP members age 18 and older.

Urgent/Emergency BH Services

For urgent care or emergencies, our urgent virtual care partner, UCM Digital Health (UCM), can dispatch an ambulance and/or make sure you get to the emergency room if needed.

UCM can also connect members who need more complex behavioral health care services to other services, including myVisitNow. If you are an MVP member with an existing behavioral health provider relationship through myVisitNow, you can continue to access these services directly through the myVisitNow app, visiting myVisitNow.com, or calling 1-855-666-9557.

Access UCM through the Gia by MVP mobile app by selecting Virtual Care, then Start Your Visit. You can also call 1-877-GoAskGia (462-7544). This is available to all MVP members.

Find a Doctor Online Search Tool

Access the Find a Doctor online search tool in the Gia by MVP mobile app or at mvphealthcare.com/findadoctor to search for other in-person and virtual BH providers. Use the Doctors by Specialty or Places by Type search options.
