An extended-day supply means getting more of your prescription drug when you fill it, instead of the usual 30 days. This could mean getting a prescription in either a 90- or 100-day supply.
Example:
- 1 tablet twice daily = 200 tablets for 100 days
- 1 tablet once daily = 90 tablets for 90 days
- 1 tablet 3x a day = 270 tablets for 90 days
Advantages of an Extended Day Supply Prescription:
- Fewer trips to the pharmacy
- Helps you maintain control of your chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart disease
- May save money on your co-pays when using CVS Mail Order Pharmacy*
- Convenience of having prescriptions delivered directly to reduce transportation barriers (if using the Mail-Order Pharmacy)
- More flexibility and peace of mind for you!
*For DualAccess (HMO-DSNP) plans, this information may not apply. Refer to plan contract for coverage details.
